so, pretty much, i know that it's cliche, but uhm, i definitely miss my childhood innocence.

everyone says it.
but today it really hit me, yo.

i was recovering the kids section at work tonight and i got to the paperback picture books.
i couldn't help but flip through a couple and i totally had flashbacks of story time in elementary school.
sitting on the rug in our tiny little library (which back then, was of course a vast, endless room full of many many books) and listening to the librarian read us a story.
vividly picturing what was going on in my head while she slowly rotated the book with it's pictures facing us so that we could all see.
"i can't see it! i can't see!"

i remember how amazing this time of year was.
canned food drive competitions.
hand turkies.
lessons about the pilgrims and indians.

it doesn't even feel like thanksgiving. i'm just stoked on eating. haha.

it seems like the older i get, the less magical each holiday is.
halloween, thanksgiving and christmas aren't the same anymore.

i miss crawling around in the garden and getting filthy.
now i can't even stand the thought of dirt packed under my nails.

get this. i had to dress up as Arthur for the little kids at storytime at work. haha. it was awesome!
but we also decided that Arthur should pay a visit to Hillrise Elementary.
walking down the halls and into each classroom brought back so many memories.
the smells!
cafeteria food and tempra paints.
it was really cool.
plus, i made a couple kids' lives that day.
gasps and surprised faces when they saw me enter their class.
"arthur! i love your show!"
"arthur! does d.w. annoy you?"
thank god all their questions were yes/no, because the only thing i could do was shake/nod my ridiculously large head.
it was fun though.

ps. i was totally listening to the gary jules album on my drive home from work and i felt awfully folky. haha.
there's something about an acoustic guitar that hits my emotions so much more. i love it.

last night i went with thera and megan to the fountain theater to go see the science of sleep.
i fell in love.
that movie is definitely on my top ten list, fer shurr.
i felt really good after i saw it.
and ggb is the hottest man on earth.
oh jeez.

i got my septum pierced last thursday.
it's pretty dang sweet, yo.
ahahaha.

i leave for california in like a couple weeks.
i'm so stoked.
i can't wait to see everyone!

i've been hanging out with jonny and danny a lot.
they're pretty neat. haha.

i'm realllllllyyyyy excited for the new brand new album!
the used is working on their new album too!

i'm definitely done with being single, yo.

thanksgiving=the day ashley stuffs her face and does absolutely nothing but hang out with the fam and gain like 12 lbs! sweet. i'm amped.

hey. two days ago i helped a man pick a book about computers.
he had no teeth. none at all.
he spoke to me with his lispy, gummy accent and i couldn't help but become terrified.
i will brush my teeth 5 times a day if i have to.
floss too.
i refuse to loose my teeth at age fifty.

today is pay day.
and i love love love direct deposit.

tonight i work in the cafe.
should be fun.
i think i like it more than the book floor.
and i thought i really liked working in music, but it makes me all antsy.
i feel like i don't get anything accomplished because i'm too busy trying to keep an eye on shady customers.

whatever.

i'm pretty sure i'm going to buy the lady sovereign album today. haha.
she's so british and that's my downfall.
i'm a sucker for the accent.

i'm listening to michael buble right now and i feel like i should be drinking some hot tea.
i'm too incredibly lazy to make it though.
so i'll just pretend that i don't want any.

i'm on a steady savings path to my camera. haha.
i'm putting away a chunk of my check in saving every month.
so far i have 310 dollars. i need 1000.
we'll see how it goes. haha.

i'm flying to california in december and i'm absolutely overjoyed!

i saw domino last night.

i went to work at the barnes this morning and now i'm here at school.

i'm coming home for olivia's wedding in december.
should be fun.
i'm stoked on seeing everyone.
and eating in n out. haha.

after my first class, i went the drop off a resume at a medical clinic out here.
hopefully i get a receptionist job.
i'm thinking about quitting barnes and noble.

we'll see.

uhm. i'm also saving up for my camera.
don't ask me how much i have saved.
i'll get it when i get it. haha...

anyways. this whole buying a plane ticket thing isn't really helping out with saving up for my canon digital rebel xt. (sigh...it feels good saying that)

anyways. halloween is on it's way.

the red room venue opens up on the night of halloween.
hopefully i'll be able to work door there.

uhm. it's fall! my favorite! i seriously cannot wait until i can bust out the hoodies and scarves and gloves. yayyyy. i'm stoked.

i'ma go see hawk nelson and showbread tomorrow night. should be good. we'll see.

megan dyed parts of my hair purple yesterday. didn't quite turn out as planned. we're fixing it today. haha.

we have a house. i think i'm going over there to help paint and what not after class.
